Kirsty Wivell
Prior to joining On Purpose, Kirsty spent six years working in the UK Civil Service as a research scientist at the Met Office. Her research focussed on improving the use of satellite data and snow surface models in weather forecasts. Kirsty also flew as a scientist on research aircraft, including the Met Office Atmospheric Survey Aircraft, conducting novel air quality surveys over London and other areas across England. Before this, Kirsty gained a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from the University of East Anglia. Kirsty joined the On Purpose Associate Programme to transition her career into the impact space, while drawing on her environmental science knowledge and professional skills. She is excited to work and learn alongside a community of like-minded individuals, while contributing to impactful projects at purpose-driven organisations. Outside of work Kirsty loves cooking and baking, as well as spending time in nature, and getting creative through art and photography.
