Josie Lumley
Josie joined the On Purpose core team in March 2022 and works closely with Sarah on marketing, communications and community. Her speciality and passion lie in social media and content creation. She loves the art of storytelling, helping to create change by fostering connection – both between people and with the natural world – and is especially interested in how nature-connectedness can shape the way we work in and build organisations.
Before joining On Purpose, Josie worked in local government across children’s and adult care services and volunteered for Curious Earth, where she created accessible content on environmental topics.
Her passion for nature-connectedness and impactful communications stems from a deep love for the natural world. She studied Zoology at the University of Leeds and continued to pursue her interests through studying tropical forest biology in Borneo and research assistant roles in Australia.
Outside of On Purpose, Josie enjoys frolicking in nature, sauntering with friends, yoga, surfing, playing the guitar (badly), and making vegan, nutritious food taste amazing.
